Technology Should Give Us Time Back
I believe technology should save people's time, improve their lives, and make room for creativity and fun. That belief shapes how I think about simplicity and build my apps.

I have always believed that technology can save people’s time and improve their lives. That possibility fascinates me. It is one of the reasons I love creating software: an app can make an everyday task easier and give someone more time for the things that matter to them.
I want the software I create to be useful, creative, and fun. I want people to enjoy using it, feel comfortable with it, and get something meaningful from the time they spend with it.
These beliefs shape the way I think about every new app idea, especially when it comes to simplicity.
Start With The Problem
Whenever I think of an idea for a new app or start planning something, I first ask: What problem is this solving?
Then I think about the person who will use it. How could it help them? Could it make something easier? Could it save them time?
Those questions give an idea a purpose. They also help me decide which features belong in the app and how those features should work together. I want the choices I make as a developer and designer to lead back to something useful for the person using the software.
Simple To Use, With The Features You Need
It is easy to complicate an app. There is always another option to add, another screen to introduce, or another control to put in front of someone.
My goal is to simplify as much as possible without compromising on the app’s features. That means thinking carefully about what appears on a screen, how choices are presented, and how someone moves from their intention to a result.
I want a person to open an app and understand what they can do. The next step should feel clear. Ideally, the design itself provides enough guidance that they can begin using the software without a manual or a separate explanation.
For me, simplicity is a way of respecting people’s time. Every unnecessary step, confusing label, or hard-to-find control asks them to spend a little more of it figuring out the app.
The Inspiration Behind My Approach
Steve Jobs has been an inspiration to me. I have learned a great deal about design and simplicity from him, and that inspiration has shaped what I value when creating software.
I care about the experience of using an app as much as the features it offers. Can someone understand it easily? Does it feel thoughtful? Does it help them do what they came to do?
These are the questions I want to keep asking as I build apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. There is always room to make an experience clearer and easier to use.
Make Room For Creativity And Fun
Saving time and being easy to use are important, but I also want software to bring some enjoyment into people’s lives.
An app might help someone create something, explore an idea, or find a little pleasure in an everyday task. Thoughtful design can make that experience feel welcoming. Simplicity gives people room to focus on what they want to do and enjoy doing it.
That is the kind of technology I want to create: useful, approachable, creative, and fun.
Technology That Serves People
I believe the world would be a better place when we use technology to improve our lives, instead of technology using us and wasting our time.
That makes time an important part of design for me. I want software to help people accomplish what matters to them and leave them free to get on with their lives.
Whenever I begin a new idea, I come back to the same belief: technology should give us time back.
That is what I hope to contribute through my work.
Thank you for reading and for taking the time to understand a little more about what I believe.
