Apple Family Sharing: One Purchase, Premium for Your Family
All my apps support Apple Family Sharing. Share an app's Premium access with your family and enjoy Trustful, Photo Refinery, or Stills on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Useful software should be easy to enjoy, and that includes how you pay for it. If an app helps you, I want your family to be able to enjoy it too.
That is why all my apps support Apple Family Sharing. Trustful, Photo Refinery, and Stills each let you share Premium access with the members of your Family Sharing group. When one person purchases Premium for an app and enables sharing, the other family members can use that app’s Premium features too.
One purchase can support the whole family’s use of that app, whether someone prefers an iPhone, an iPad, or a Mac.
What Apple Family Sharing Means for Premium
Apple Family Sharing lets a purchaser share eligible app purchases and subscriptions with up to five other family members: six people in total. Each person uses their own Apple Account. Apple’s Family Sharing overview explains how the group works.
For my apps, this means your family does not need a separate Premium purchase for every person using the same app. The shared access follows the purchase you have chosen; a shared subscription provides access while that subscription remains active.
Each app has its own purchase. Sharing Trustful Premium gives your family access to Trustful Premium. Photo Refinery Premium and Stills Premium are shared through their own purchases in the same way.
Family Sharing Across All Three Apps
Trustful: A Private, Encrypted Photo Vault
Trustful Secret Photo Vault helps you protect and organise private photos and videos. Your media is encrypted on your device and in Apple iCloud, with access protected by your master password.
Trustful Premium supports Family Sharing, so family members can use Premium within their own app experience. Sharing Premium access does not mean handing everyone the same Apple Account or master password.
Photo Refinery: Upscale and Refine Your Images
Photo Refinery helps you upscale and refine photos with on-device processing. You might want to improve a photograph for printing, refine artwork, or take a closer look at an image on a larger screen.
Photo Refinery Premium supports Family Sharing. One person’s Premium purchase can give the family access to Premium as they work on their own images across supported Apple devices.
Stills: Save Photos From Your Videos
Stills helps you choose a moment from a video or Live Photo and save it as a photo at the original video’s resolution. Premium adds enhancement tools, additional export choices, and ways to personalise the app.
Stills Premium supports Family Sharing too. Your family can enjoy Premium on iPhone, iPad, and Mac as they find and save their own favourite moments. The Stills guide to saving a photo from a video explains the workflow and the features in version 26.1.
Family Sharing and Universal Purchase Work Together
These two features make access simpler in different ways:
- Family Sharing lets the members of your family group share an app’s Premium purchase.
- Universal Purchase lets an app’s purchase work across its supported Apple platforms, using the purchaser’s Apple Account.
All three of my apps support both. A family member can use a shared app on their compatible iPhone, iPad, or Mac, while keeping their own Apple Account. Read more about Universal Purchase across my apps.
How to Set Up Family Sharing for App Premium
Create or Join Your Family Group
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Family. Follow the setup instructions and invite your family members. Each person accepts the invitation with their own Apple Account. Apple’s iPhone and iPad setup guide walks through the process.
On Mac, open System Settings, click your name, then Family, and choose Set Up if you are creating a group. Apple provides a separate Mac setup guide.
Check That Premium Is Being Shared
For a Premium subscription, check the purchaser’s subscription-sharing settings. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Manage Family Access, then enable Share Eligible Subscriptions. Apple’s subscription-sharing guide explains this setting.
For an eligible one-time in-app purchase, Purchase Sharing needs to be enabled for the family group and the participating members. The app must also remain visible in the purchaser’s purchase history. Apple’s purchase-sharing guide explains the group settings, and its in-app purchase guidance describes how shared access works for different purchase types.
Download the app on each family member’s compatible device and open it using that person’s own Apple Account. If Premium does not appear, check that the person has joined the correct family group and that the purchase is being shared. Use the app’s restore-purchases option if it is available.
Why Family Sharing Matters to Me
I build apps to solve useful problems and make everyday tasks simpler. Family Sharing is part of that approach: when more than one person in a family finds an app helpful, accessing it should be straightforward.
You can choose the app that fits your needs, share its Premium access with your family, and let each person use the device they prefer.
Thank you for supporting my work. I hope Trustful, Photo Refinery, and Stills become useful tools for your family too.
